Soon your grandmother won’t be able to get her wheelchair into public buildings

At least, if the AAHOA (Asian American Hotel Owners Association) and a Republican congress (with Democrat supporters !!) have anything to say about it. They are bankrolling the legislation known as HR 620, which is mis-named the ADA Education and Reform Act of 2017.

AAHOA, which touts that they represent 1 out of every 2 hotel owners in America, has a policy agenda which specifically wants to end drive-by lawsuits that force their members to comply with ADA requirements.

I think we can all agree that frivolous lawsuits are bad. But HR 620 is NOT the way to do it:

How can you make sure your grandmother and her wheelchair can get into the post office, into a hotel on vacation, and into bathrooms in public?

Call your congressional representatives or use Resistbot to tell them to oppose HR.620. Do it NOW. The bill it out of committee and will be voted on by the US House this week. You could also tweet with the hashtags #StopHR620, and #BoycottAAHOAHotels. Or just like & retweet Senator Tammy Duckworth: https://twitter.com/SenDuckworth/status/963573320749809664 and follow @NationalAdapt to stay up-to-date on the latest.
